A Fourth-Generation Farm in Wiltshire

Great Ashley Farm has been in the same family for four generations, with a continued focus on responsible farming and producing food from the land. Our livestock are raised here on the farm, maintaining a direct connection between the animals, the environment, and the final product. This approach allows us to ensure consistency, quality, and complete traceability.

Home Produced on Natural Pastures

Our cattle and sheep are grazed on natural pastures across the Wiltshire countryside, feeding on grasses and herbs that contribute to both flavour and nutritional quality. This method of farming supports a slower, more natural growth, resulting in well-balanced meat with depth of flavour.

Animal Welfare and Traceability

As a Red Tractor assured farm, Great Ashley Farm is committed to producing high-quality beef and lamb to recognised standards of animal welfare, food safety, and full traceability. The Red Tractor scheme helps ensure that every stage of the farming process is carefully monitored, from the way animals are cared for through to the quality and origin of the meat produced on the farm.

For us, responsible farming is an important part of everyday life at Great Ashley Farm. Our livestock are raised within the surrounding Wiltshire countryside, with a strong focus on high welfare standards, careful land management, and sustainable farming practices. This commitment reflects both our long-standing farming heritage and our close connection to the local food community.

Prepared for Quality and Flavour

All meat produced at Great Ashley Farm is carefully chilled, hung, and rested to help develop tenderness, texture, and depth of flavour. This traditional process allows the meat to mature naturally over time, helping to create a more consistent and high-quality product.

Careful preparation is an important part of ensuring the final product reflects both the quality of the livestock and the attention given throughout the farming process. By allowing the meat to rest correctly, the natural flavours are enhanced while also improving tenderness and overall eating quality.

Supporting the Local Food Network

We believe in supplying our local community and supporting independent businesses. Our beef and lamb are available through trusted local outlets, helping to strengthen the connection between farm, butcher, and customer while reducing reliance on long supply chains.
